

Anderson served as a senior co-captain and notched 12.6 points-per-game and hauled in 5.0 rebounds-per-game in the 1979-80 season.Ĭottrell played for the Flyers from 1971-73 after transferring from Joliet Junior College. As a junior, Anderson averaged 17.0 points-per-game and grabbed 5.4 rebounds-per-contest in 1978-79.

"This fine group of gentlemen carried on the tradition set by their predecessors and helped pave the way for the continued success that our program has sustained throughout the years. "We started this initiative last year with our All-Decades Team from the 50s and 60s and it was a huge success," Lewis University Director of Athletics Dr. Cottrell, Flaherty, Kaminsky, Robson and Williams are all members of the Lewis Athletics Hall of Fame. The team includes Darnell Anderson, Sylvester Cottrell, Mike Flaherty, Bill Groeper, Tim Ferrarell, Jay Miller, Herb Mumford, Frank Kaminsky, George Robson and Ron Williams. The Lewis University Athletics Department will officially unveil its All-Decades Men's Basketball (1970s) Team at halftime of their showdown with the top-ranked University of Indianapolis at 3 PM on January 31st.
